Teach, Teaching Excellence and Cultural Honor, is a youth-development nonprofit in Northeast Maryland working with young people 16 to 21, connecting cultural knowledge to real-world readiness. What began as a grassroots effort had grown into a multi-program institution, and its presence needed to match: credible enough to be taken seriously, warm enough to stay itself.

Teaching Excellence and Cultural Honor is a youth development organization serving young people ages 16 to 21. Its programs connect cultural history, creative expression, and community action, helping participants build practical skills and confidence in who they are.
We handled the creative direction, copywriting, design, and development, with scope extending through CMS setup, integrations, launch, and maintenance. Built with Next.js and deployed on Vercel, the site brings program information, events, and ways to support the organization into one experience.
The site needed to communicate the depth of the organization’s work while remaining approachable to young people and their families. Cultural identity and empowerment had to come through alongside clear explanations of what each program involves.
It also needed to serve people arriving with different intentions. Exploring a program, volunteering, becoming a partner, and making a donation each required a clear route through the content.
We structured the site around the organization’s purpose, programs, and opportunities to participate. Dedicated program pages explain the different forms of support, while a Get Involved page separates donations, volunteering, and partnerships into distinct actions.
The visual direction combines warm neutrals, earthy accents, and prominent photography, with animation adding movement to the experience. A CMS supports content management, while Stripe provides the donation flow. Dedicated volunteer and partnership routes give supporters other ways to get involved.
